I have worked hard and been really lucky. I feel very fortunate to make a living as a drummer. Over the course of my career I have seen a lot and concluded that there are some things every drummer must go through to be ready to play professionally. I have also concluded (I conclude a lot) that there are some things a drummer might as well skip.
We can talk about where you are in your career, where you want to be, and what you need to do to get there. I will give you a realistic, non judgemental assessment and offer some ideas that may (in my humble opinion) help you reach your goals. There are many ways to make money as a drummer. We can discuss the pros and cons of different possibilties, figure out what might be best for you, and talk about how to go about getting the work you like and are good at.
Some things to discuss:
- What do you want from drumming and how can you get there?
- What are some realistic steps to look at?
- What can you practice to get you closer to your particular goals?
